Elite don’t often release new products in an extravagant manner but this time there needs to be some celebration. Elite have used their extensive home trainer expertise and knowledge to develop the Elite Direto, a sleek and stylish new direct drive turbo trainer.

Elite say they “strive for absolute perfection, and the Elite Direto is a perfect product that translates into perfect training sessions” and from what we’ve seen so far, who are we to disagree. Fitted with integrated OTS (Optical Torque Sensor) power meter, it is reported to have +/-2.5% accuracy, matching it to all the best meters out there, and promising to be more precise than a lot of trainers.

Fully interactive and able to offer slopes of 14% and handle 1400W it will be able to offer every training session you could need at the push of a button via your smartphone or tablet thanks to communication via ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth.

It will be foldable to keep it compact and it looks set to be a great transportable training partner for use at home, the office, or warm ups before events.

Expect the Elite Direto to cost around £749.99 and expected release will be in September this year. As soon as we get our hands on one for testing we’ll be sure to update you all fully on how it performs but from the leaked details and images, it looks good so far.
